Three LGA Tricycle and Motorcycle Executives Laud Elder Statesman’s Selfless Service, Security Interventions
GANYE, Adamawa State — In a remarkable demonstration of unity and appreciation, the executives and members of the Tricycle and Motorcycle Unions from Ganye, Jada, and Toungo Local Government Areas on Friday, July 3, 2026, paid a glowing homage to the revered elder statesman, Alhaji Sadiq Mohammed, Walin Ganye, at his residence in Ganye, in recognition of his outstanding humanitarian services, unwavering philanthropy, and immense contributions to peace, security, and community development across Ganye Chiefdom.

The delegation, comprising leaders and members of the transport unions from the three local government areas, described Walin Ganye as a compassionate leader whose generosity has positively impacted thousands of families without regard to ethnicity, religion, political affiliation, or social status.
They also acknowledged his national and international leadership roles, noting that beyond his contributions to community development, Alhaji Sadiq Mohammed, Walin Ganye, currently serves as the Chairman, Board of Trustees of the International Peace Commission, a position they said reflects his lifelong commitment to peacebuilding, dialogue, humanitarian service, and conflict resolution.
Speaking during the visit, the union leaders said the elder statesman has consistently demonstrated uncommon commitment to the welfare of the people by extending support to the needy, empowering vulnerable families, and providing relief to those facing difficult circumstances.
According to them, countless households across Ganye Chiefdom continue to benefit from his humanitarian interventions, making him one of the most respected and trusted community leaders in the region.
“Walin Ganye has remained a father to all. He has put food on the tables of thousands of families and continues to uplift the less privileged without discrimination. His generosity has restored hope to many people, and his doors remain open to everyone in need,” one of the union executives remarked.
The delegation particularly commended Walin Ganye for his timely intervention following the recent wave of child abductions that has caused anxiety across Ganye Chiefdom. They noted that his collaboration with security agencies, traditional rulers, community stakeholders, and other relevant authorities has demonstrated genuine leadership and an unwavering commitment to protecting lives and restoring peace.
They further described his proactive engagement in addressing the security challenge as a reflection of his deep love for the people and his determination to ensure that criminal activities are brought to an end.
Receiving the delegation on behalf of the revered elder statesman, Hon. Chief Charles Wukumfakeni Bansi (Wambai Danaba), former Sole Administrator of Gangdu Development Area, distinguished political scientist, and respected political strategist, expressed profound appreciation for the visit and the confidence reposed in Walin Ganye.
He thanked the leadership of the Tricycle and Motorcycle Unions of Ganye, Jada, and Toungo for their show of solidarity and recognition of Walin Ganye’s enduring contributions to humanity.
Hon. Bansi urged the transport operators to remain law-abiding citizens, obey traffic regulations, support security agencies with credible information, and continue promoting peace, unity, and harmonious coexistence within their communities.
He stressed that transport operators occupy strategic positions in society and can significantly contribute to combating crime by remaining vigilant and reporting suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities.
“The peace, stability, and development of our communities require collective responsibility. Continue to be ambassadors of peace and partners in securing our communities. Together, we can overcome every security challenge confronting our people,” he stated.
The delegation concluded the visit with fervent prayers, asking Almighty Allah to bless Alhaji Sadiq Mohammed, Walin Ganye, with long life, sound health, divine protection, greater wisdom, and abundant strength to continue serving humanity.
