MASSIVE TURNOUT ROCKS GIREI II AS VOTERS TROOP OUT EN MASSE FOR LG POLLS

GIREI, ADAMAWA — Girei II Ward witnessed an impressive display of democratic participation on Saturday as voters turned out in large numbers to cast their ballots during the ongoing Adamawa State Local Government Elections.

At Unguwan Lambu Polling Unit 0012, located near the community borehole, hundreds of enthusiastic residents queued patiently to exercise their civic responsibility, creating an atmosphere of confidence and optimism as the electoral process unfolded smoothly.



Speaking with journalists at the polling unit, several voters expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the exercise, noting that election materials arrived early and voting commenced without delay. They described the process as transparent, peaceful, and orderly.

The electorate also commended the professionalism of electoral officials and the vigilance of security personnel, whose presence helped maintain a calm and conducive environment throughout the exercise.

Reacting to the massive turnout, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Councillorship Candidate for Girei II Ward, Hon. Muallaidi Baba Tela, applauded residents for their overwhelming participation, describing the turnout as a clear demonstration of the people’s faith in democracy and their determination to shape the future of their community through the ballot box.



Hon. Tela further praised the Governor of Adamawa State, ****, for what he described as remarkable developmental achievements across Girei II Ward and the entire Girei Local Government Area. He urged residents to sustain their support for the administration in order to consolidate the gains already recorded.

The PDP candidate concluded by offering prayers for a peaceful electoral process and for continued peace, unity, and progress in Adamawa State and Nigeria as a whole.

As voting continued across the state’s 21 local government areas, the remarkable turnout recorded in Girei II Ward stood out as a strong testament to the growing political awareness and democratic commitment of the people.
