Confusion and political uncertainty engulfed several parts of Adamawa State on Thursday as the much-anticipated All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial primaries suffered serious setbacks following the delay and, in some areas, total absence of electoral officers assigned to conduct the exercise.
Party supporters and delegates across the state were left stranded for several hours as accreditation and voting processes failed to commence in many locations, raising tension among aspirants and their loyalists.
However, despite the chaotic situation surrounding the primaries, voting eventually took place in some areas, with results already emerging from Ganye Local Government Area — and they strongly favor frontline aspirant, Abdulrahaman Bashir Haske.

Results so far collated from Ganye wards indicate that the young politician and business mogul is maintaining a commanding lead over other contenders, further solidifying his growing reputation as a grassroots political force within the APC.
In Ganye I Ward, Haske secured an impressive 1,074 votes, defeating Namdas who polled 307 votes, while Dr. Salihu got 111 votes and T.G recorded 102 votes.
The dominance continued in Ganye II Ward where Haske delivered another landslide victory with 1,521 votes, leaving Namdas with 224 votes, Dr. Salihu with 64 votes, and T.G with 102 votes.
At Sangu/Sumi Ward, Haske once again emerged ahead with 462 votes, while Namdas secured 160 votes, Dr. Salihu 102 votes, and T.G 124 votes.
In Bakari Guso Ward, Haske maintained his strong momentum with 1,300 votes, ahead of Namdas who scored 850 votes, while Dr. Salihu garnered 300 votes.
Although some wards across the state are still counting and collating their results, available figures so far place Abdulrahaman Bashir Haske firmly in the lead in Ganye, with political analysts already describing his performance as a major statement ahead of the final declaration.

Observers say the early results reflect the massive grassroots support Haske has built through his peace, unity, and consultation tours across Adamawa’s 21 local governments in recent weeks.
Supporters of the aspirant erupted into celebration in parts of Ganye shortly after the figures surfaced, expressing confidence that the final outcome may further strengthen Haske’s position in the race.
Meanwhile, uncertainty continues to surround the conduct of the primaries in several local governments where delegates and party officials are still awaiting directives from APC leadership as the controversial exercise continues late into the night.
