CHAOS, DRAMA AS APC PRIMARIES STALL; HASKE SWEEPS GANYE, TOUNGO, MAYO-BELWA, JADA

Amid confusion, uncertainty, and the shocking disappearance of electoral officials allegedly deployed from the Adamawa State capital to conduct the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial primaries, frontline aspirant Abdulrahaman Bashir Haske has continued to dominate the exercise across key local government areas of the state.
Results emerging from Ganye Local Government Area showed a massive lead for the young business mogul and political heavyweight, who overwhelmingly defeated other contenders in the keenly contested primaries. The collated figures from the wards placed Haske far ahead of his rivals, reaffirming his growing acceptance among party delegates and grassroots supporters.
Beyond Ganye, reports from Toungo, Mayo-Belwa, and Jada Local Government Areas equally indicated that Haske maintained a commanding advantage over all other aspirants, further cementing his position as the man to beat in the APC governorship race.

The unfolding political drama came despite widespread allegations that some officials assigned from Yola to supervise the primaries allegedly went into hiding and failed to appear at several designated venues, leaving party members stranded for hours and creating tension in many areas.
However, determined APC delegates and stakeholders reportedly refused to allow the process to collapse, insisting that the will of party members must prevail despite the setbacks and confusion surrounding the exercise.
In Ganye, the atmosphere remained charged as party faithful trooped out in large numbers to participate in the primaries. The revered elder statesman and political leader of Ganye Chiefdom, Alh. Sadiq Mohammed, Walin Ganye, was physically present at his residence throughout the exercise and played a stabilizing role during the tense political atmosphere.

The respected political mentor encouraged APC members and supporters to remain peaceful, law-abiding, and committed to exercising their democratic rights by coming out to vote for candidates of their choice.
Observers described his presence as highly symbolic and influential, noting that his words brought calm, confidence, and encouragement to many party faithful during the uncertainty that surrounded the primaries.
Political analysts say the early results and the massive turnout recorded in Haske’s strongholds have sent a powerful signal across Adamawa’s political landscape ahead of the final declaration of results.
As collation continues in some areas, supporters of Abdulrahaman Bashir Haske have already begun celebrating what many now describe as a major political breakthrough capable of reshaping the future of the APC in Adamawa State.
