U.S. President Donald Trump has claimed responsibility for ordering airstrikes that killed multiple ISIS terrorists in Somalia, criticizing his successor, Joe Biden, for failing to act decisively against the terror group.
Taking to his social media platform, X, on Saturday, Trump announced that he had authorized “precision military airstrikes” targeting a senior ISIS attack planner and his recruits, who were allegedly hiding in caves.
“These killers, who we found hiding in caves, threatened the United States and our Allies,” Trump wrote. “The strikes destroyed the caves they live in and killed many terrorists without, in any way, harming civilians.”
Trump also asserted that the targeted militant leader had been on the U.S. military’s radar for years but accused Biden and his administration of dragging their feet in eliminating him.
“Our military has targeted this ISIS Attack Planner for years, but Biden and his cronies wouldn’t act quickly enough to get the job done. I did!” Trump declared.
In a final message of defiance, Trump warned terrorist organizations of swift U.S. retaliation under his leadership:
“The message to ISIS and all others who would attack Americans is that ‘WE WILL FIND YOU, AND WE WILL KILL YOU!’”

Trump’s bold claims come amid increasing speculation about his foreign policy approach should he return to the White House in 2025. His remarks are also likely to fuel further debate over Biden’s handling of counterterrorism operations and national security.
