POLITICAL CARNIVAL ROCKS GANYE AS HASKE STORMS ADAMAWA WITH MASSIVE SUPPORT

The political atmosphere in Adamawa State has erupted into a frenzy of excitement following the triumphant return of APC governorship aspirant, Abdulrahaman Bashir Haske, after the successful screening and submission of his governorship and expression of interest forms in Abuja.
As the countdown to the governorship primaries gathers momentum across the nation, Haske has officially ignited what many political observers now describe as a “movement of the people,” embarking on a strategic statewide consultation and campaign tour that began from the historic Ganye Chiefdom.


Starting from Toungo and stretching deep into the heart of Ganye, the atmosphere was nothing short of a political carnival as thousands of jubilant supporters flooded the streets in a breathtaking show of solidarity and admiration for the youthful political heavyweight.
From Buwangal to the revered Gangwari Palace, roads became virtually impassable as ecstatic residents, party loyalists, women, youths, community leaders and admirers trooped out in overwhelming numbers to welcome the governorship hopeful. The crowd was so massive that it reportedly took Haske and his entourage more than one hour to navigate the short distance leading to the palace.


In what became one of the defining moments of the historic outing, commercial motorcycle riders popularly known as Okada riders electrified the atmosphere with daring displays and breathtaking riding styles, while chants of support rented the air across the ancient town.
Women and youths abandoned their daily activities and poured out from homes, shops and business centres just to catch a glimpse of the man many described as “the hope of a new Adamawa.”
The atmosphere reflected unity, hope and political awakening.
Haske was accompanied by prominent political figures including former Deputy Governor of Adamawa State, His Excellency Martins Babale, and the member representing Ganye Constituency in the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Musa Jauro, whose presence further strengthened the significance of the tour.
Addressing the mammoth crowd at the Gangwari Palace, Abdulrahaman Bashir Haske reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive governance, declaring that if entrusted with the mandate to lead Adamawa State, his administration would carry everyone along irrespective of tribe, religion or political affiliation.


The youthful aspirant passionately reminded the people that Ganye remains his hometown and a place deeply rooted in his heart, stressing that the future of Adamawa can only be secured through unity, peace and collective development.
He called on citizens to reject ethnic division and religious sentiments capable of tearing the state apart, emphasizing that progress can only flourish in an atmosphere of harmony and mutual respect between Christians and Muslims.
“I belong to everybody and everybody belongs to me. Adamawa must move forward as one united family,” Haske declared to thunderous applause from the excited crowd.
At the palace, the revered Gangwari offered royal blessings and prayers for the governorship aspirant, describing him as a young, dynamic and visionary leader who embraces both Christians and Muslims without discrimination.
From the Gangwari Palace, the governorship hopeful proceeded to the residence of the revered elder statesman and political mentor, Alh. Sadiq Mohammed Walin Ganye, where another large gathering of political stakeholders, youths, women groups and community leaders warmly received him.
The visit to Walin Ganye’s residence further underscored the political importance of the Ganye tour, as the respected elder statesman remains one of the most influential political voices not only in Ganye Chiefdom but across Adamawa State and beyond.
At the residence, Haske interacted with different groups and supporters who pledged their commitment toward the success of his gubernatorial ambition. The atmosphere was filled with respect, political discussions and strategic consultations as party faithful and grassroots mobilisers expressed confidence in his leadership capacity.
Political observers described the event in Walin Ganye resident as highly symbolic, noting that the elder statesman has continued to play a critical role in mentoring young politicians and promoting politics of peace, unity and development.
Many supporters at the gathering openly described Walin Ganye as “a political institution,” “a bridge builder,” and “a mentor whose counsel shapes political direction in Adamawa State.”
