“APC Brings Ganye–Jada Road to Life, Opposition Propaganda Crumbles”

The long-awaited repair of the Ganye–Yebbi–Mbulo–Jada road which has already commenced, spearheaded by the Federal Government through the Northeast Development Commission (NEDC), courtesy of the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led administration has indeed recorded a huge success. What should be welcomed as a landmark development for the people of Ganye and neighboring communities is being met with baseless criticism from the opposition, desperate to sow confusion where progress is evident.

Each time a grader is sighted being carried on a caterpillar or moved from one section of the site to another, opposition voices immediately erupt, claiming that the people have been deceived and that the project is being abandoned. This false narrative is nothing but political mischief. In reality, such movements are part of standard construction processes — graders and heavy machines are relocated as work advances. Instead of crying foul, the public should give the project the benefit of doubt, because this road construction has come to stay.

With respected figures like the Walin Ganye, Malam Nuhu Ribadu, and other top government officials solidly behind it, the project will not just start — it will be seen through to completion. The people should not be disturbed each time they see graders being carried away or shifted; rather, they should understand that work is ongoing and progress is being made. The days of political gimmicks are over — this is real action, not empty promises.

It must also be emphasized that during the last Ganye State Constituency bye-election, the APC never attempted to dangle this project as a campaign carrot. Instead, it was the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that publicly tied the road to electoral favors. Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri openly told the people to vote PDP if they wanted the road fixed, conveniently forgetting that for nearly six years, his administration sidelined Ganye on the flimsy excuse that the area did not vote for him in the general elections.

The facts now speak louder than propaganda: the road has been awarded, work has commenced, and with strong backing from the APC-led Federal Government, it will be delivered to the last kilometer. The opposition’s noise is nothing more than a smokescreen to distract the people from seeing the truth.

The people of Ganye, Yebbi, Mbulo, and Jada deserve development, and today, under APC’s leadership, that promise is becoming a reality. No matter how loud the opposition shouts, they cannot erase the fact that this road project has come to stay.
