JPRM; AN NGO OF REPUTE BY SARAH IRENE JONES

Justice Peace and Reconciliation Movement (JPRM) is a nongovernmental organization working in Nigeria to create a society where people of all Religions will live together in harmony, love and embrace one another, hate corruption and show a zero tolerance to violent. JPRM has often, in carrying out its day-to-day activities, seeks to achieve a conflict free community by enlightening citizens on the consequences of violent conflicts, the organization has equally made it a duty by contributing its quoter in restoring peace in some violent affected areas of its communities.

Apart from the JPRM peace activities, the organization has also taken a lead among its contemporaries in terms of humanitarian programs.
JPRM has in recent times, with relief materials visited some conflict affected areas especially places that are been ravage by the insurgency (BOKO HARAM), which force many to lose their farm land and homes.

The organization also reach out to the IDP Camps where they equally distribute relief materials to the victims of insurgency. It is also part of the JPRM activities in making the lives of the people in the rural areas of their community better. Some rural areas in the JPRM communities of Adamawa, Taraba, Plateau and Kaduna States respectively have benefitted immensely from some of the JPRM live changing projects especially in terms water projects where boreholes were provided to the rural communities who before drink water from the same place with the animals.

The organization also embark on an empowerment program annually where the participants received different trainings and at the end serve with the tools relating to the skill acquired. In its reputable image of maintaining its leads in the humanitarian world, JPRM has recently together with one of its donor partners KERKINACTIE, embark on Women Action Against Covid-19/Humanitarian Intervention and Income generating activities (IGA), women were train on how to start and manage their small-scale business with the support of some token amount or grants after the training.

They are also given food and non-food items to support their families and also enlighten with Covid-19 awareness on vaccine and other issues related to that.
By and large, with this kind of live changing programs and the humanitarian activities of JPRM, the organization has indeed stand tall among its contemporaries alike.
