A prominent youth group, the Ganye Chiefdom Youth Patriotic Front, has showered glowing commendations on Alhaji Sadiq Mohammed, Walin Ganye, for his outstanding generosity and humanitarian spirit during the holy month of Ramadan.
The group noted that the respected elder statesman has once again demonstrated uncommon compassion by opening his doors and heart to the people of Ganye, as hundreds of residents — both Muslims and Christians — troop daily to his residence in Ganye Local Government Area to partake in the Ramadan Iftar meal he provides.
In a statement issued in Ganye, the youth body described Walin Ganye as a rare leader whose kindness transcends social, religious and economic divides, noting that his philanthropic gestures have become a beacon of hope for many families during the fasting period.
According to the group, the daily Iftar gathering has transformed his residence into a centre of unity, hospitality and community bonding, where people from different backgrounds share meals, prayers and fellowship.
The youth group praised the revered traditional title holder as a man whose generosity knows no bounds, adding that his leadership extends far beyond boardrooms and business corridors into the very heart of the community.
“Alhaji Sadiq Mohammed is not just a respected leader; he is a father to many, a philanthropist whose actions speak louder than words, and a bridge builder who continues to strengthen peaceful coexistence among the people of Ganye Chiefdom,” the statement read.
They further noted that Walin Ganye has over the years consistently demonstrated commitment to humanitarian causes, youth empowerment and community development, describing him as a shining example of selfless service and responsible leadership.
The group emphasized that such acts of generosity during the sacred month of Ramadan reflect the true essence of the season — compassion, sacrifice and care for humanity.
“While many observe the fast quietly, Walin Ganye has chosen to make Ramadan a season of giving, sharing and uplifting the less privileged. His residence has become a sanctuary of kindness where no one is turned away,” the statement added.
The youth group therefore called on other well-to-do individuals and leaders across Adamawa State and beyond to emulate the humanitarian example set by the Walin Ganye.
They also offered prayers for the respected elder statesman, asking Almighty Allah to reward his good deeds abundantly, grant him long life, good health and continued wisdom to serve humanity.
“As youths of Ganye Chiefdom, we are proud of the legacy of generosity and unity that Walin Ganye continues to uphold. We pray that God Almighty will continue to guide, protect and elevate him to greater heights,” the statement concluded.
Observers say the daily Ramadan outreach by Walin Ganye has not only eased the burden on many fasting residents but has also strengthened the spirit of harmony and solidarity within the community.
