JANGIRI JOINS APC WITH 40,000 SUPPORTERS; MISA MUSA’S VICTORY SEALED AS GANYE STORMS WALIN GANYE’S RESIDENCE

February 5, 2026, will be remembered as a watershed moment in the political history of Ganye Local Government Area as the All Progressives Congress (APC) recorded a double victory that sent shockwaves across Adamawa politics.

In a colourful, high-powered gathering, the APC officially received Hon. Emmanuel Stephen Jangiri, who recently defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), while simultaneously celebrating the tribunal victory of Hon. Misa Musa, Member representing Ganye Constituency in the Adamawa State House of Assembly.

The celebration followed the February 4, 2026 judgment of the Election Petition Tribunal which affirmed Hon. Misa Musa’s election and dismissed the petition filed by Barrister Joda of the PDP for lack of merit, effectively sealing the APC’s mandate in Ganye.
The historic event took place at the residence of the revered elder statesman, Alhaji Sadiq Mohammed (Walin Ganye)—a major APC national stakeholder and widely regarded as the political father of Ganye Chiefdom.

From the opening rendition of the National Anthem, followed by interfaith prayers, the tone was set for a grand political outing. The residence was filled to capacity as party faithful, supporters, musicians, and passersby trooped in to witness what many described as a political rebirth for APC in Ganye.
Music blared, traditional and modern performances lit up the atmosphere, and the crowd erupted in celebration—turning the venue into a carnival of victory, loyalty, and renewed hope.
Welcoming dignitaries, the APC Chairman of Ganye LGA, Hon. Mathias Augustine, expressed profound gratitude to Walin Ganye for consistently opening his home for party activities.
“This gathering,” he said, “is to celebrate the well-deserved tribunal victory of Hon. Misa Musa and to warmly receive Hon. Emmanuel Stephen Jangiri into the APC family.”

Speaking on behalf of the party elders, Barrister Yusuf Daniel Jangwe, Chairman of the APC Elders Forum Caucus, described the tribunal victory as a triumph of justice and perseverance.
He applauded Walin Ganye’s tireless role in ensuring both electoral success and legal victory for Hon. Misa Musa, while urging the public to actively participate in the ongoing APC nationwide e-registration exercise.
The political earthquake of the day was the defection of Hon. Emmanuel Stephen Jangiri, the PDP’s 2023 House of Assembly candidate who narrowly lost to the APC.
Defecting with over 40,000 supporters, Jangiri’s move was described by stakeholders as a game-changer.

Addressing the crowd, Hon. Hammanjoda Umar Farang, APC Chairman of Adamawa Southern Zone, declared:
“APC has made a big catch today. Hon. Jangiri is not just an addition; he is a colossus and a massive positive force for the party.”
Jangiri was formally presented with his APC membership card amid thunderous applause.
In his emotional speech, Hon. Emmanuel Stephen Jangiri paid glowing tribute to Walin Ganye, whom he described as his political father and mentor.
“It would not be wise for me to remain in another party while my father, Walin Ganye, is in APC,” he said. “He is a father to all, across parties and generations.”

In his victory speech, Hon. Misa Musa thanked Almighty God, Walin Ganye, party leaders, and the people of Ganye for standing by him during what he described as his most trying legal moments.
He pledged total commitment to the people, noting that prolonged court battles had delayed his full take-off.
“Now that the matter is settled, I am fully ready to serve,” he assured.
Also speaking was the Coordinator of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda in Ganye, Hon. Benjamin Brandford, who recounted his political journey—from contesting the Assembly seat under Labour Party to withdrawing a court case on the advice of Walin Ganye and defecting to APC.
His obedience to elder counsel, he said, paved the way for his current role in the Renewed Hope movement.

A NEW POLITICAL ORDER IN GANYE
With the tribunal victory of Hon. Misa Musa firmly secured and the defection of Hon. Emmanuel Stephen Jangiri boosting APC’s strength, political observers agree that Ganye has entered a new era—one anchored on unity, mentorship, and strategic consolidation under the watchful influence of Walin Ganye.
Indeed, February 5, 2026, was not just a celebration—it was a declaration.
