Ganye Local Government Area of Adamawa State witnessed a political earthquake on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, as thousands of supporters, party faithful, elders, women, and youths converged to witness the inauguration of the Ganye Local Government Executives of the Abdulrahman Bashir Haske Mobilisation Forum—an event that has now been widely described as a clear signal of Haske’s growing grassroots momentum.
The historic ceremony, held in the hometown of His Excellency Abdulrahman Bashir Haske, turned the venue into a sea of solidarity, with the hall filled beyond capacity and crowds spilling outside, peeping through windows just to catch a glimpse of the unfolding political spectacle.

From the outset, the tone was solemn yet electric. The event commenced with prayers from both faiths and the rendition of the National Anthem, symbolising unity beyond religion and ethnicity. The Master of Ceremony, MC Lerum, set a new standard with his polished and professional coordination, earning admiration from dignitaries and attendees alike.
Delivering the first welcome address, the Ganye Chapter Coordinator of the Forum, Alhaji Isa Ahmed, expressed deep gratitude to party supporters for their overwhelming turnout, describing it as a testament to the love Ganye people have for Abdulrahman Bashir Haske. He urged continued loyalty to the APC and prayed for the success of Haske’s political journey.

Renowned political heavyweight in Ganye, Hon. Yusuf Gangtum, took centre stage to mentor the youths. In a thought-provoking address, he charged young people to practice politics of integrity and legacy, urging them to “sow seeds for tomorrow, not consume everything today.” He praised the relentless commitment of the State Coordinator, Alhaji Zakiru Barade, describing his mobilisation drive as tireless and strategic.

The APC Chairman of Ganye Local Government, Hon. Mathias Augustine, declared his full support for Haske, noting that among all governorship aspirants within the APC, Abdulrahman Bashir Haske stands out as the candidate genuinely strengthening the party at the grassroots. He boldly proclaimed that “this is the era of the youths” and urged the public to rally behind APC for sustainable development.

One of the most resounding moments of the day came from Hon. Hajiya Hajara Iya Luggere, the Women Ambassador for the Southern Zone. In a powerful and passionate speech, she mobilised women across Ganye and beyond to collect their PVCs, register with APC, and actively participate in politics.
She stressed that women are the backbone of societal progress and warned that ethnic and religious divisions only derail development. “Without women,” she declared, “there can be no future, no progress, and no good leadership.” Her message drew loud applause and chants of solidarity from women groups present.

Adding to the women’s voice, the State Women Coordinator of the Forum, Mrs. Magdalene Joshua, reaffirmed her unwavering commitment to Haske’s ambition. She recalled her selfless service to women during her husband’s tenure as Executive Chairman of Ganye LGA and called on women to stand firmly behind Haske’s vision.
Former Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Hon. Jibril Adamu Nwona Konkli, delivered a bold and frank speech, commending President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for courageous economic reforms, particularly the removal of fuel subsidy and reduction of foreign debt. However, he questioned the utilisation of increased local government allocations, lamenting rising poverty despite massive infrastructural projects.
He urged Ganye people to support Haske without hesitation, describing him as “their own son”, and appealed directly to Alhaji Sadiq Mohammed Walin Ganye, the revered political father of the chiefdom, to endorse Haske for governor.

The atmosphere reached a crescendo as traditional dancers electrified the venue. Thunderous chants of “Haske! Gomnan Gobe!” echoed repeatedly, while drums and Haske-themed music set the crowd into spontaneous dance. The hall simply could not contain the massive turnout.
Barrister Pascal Iliya administered the oath of office to the newly inaugurated executives, officially ushering in a new phase of mobilisation in Ganye. Alhaji Babakeke underscored that Ganye had no justification to oppose Haske, citing his family’s long-standing humanitarian legacy across the chiefdom and Adamawa State.

When Alhaji Zakiru Barade, the State Coordinator, mounted the podium, the crowd erupted once more. Loved by both elders and youths, Zakiru thanked all stakeholders, particularly Alhaji Sadiq Mohammed Walin Ganye, for nurturing young political leaders.
He charged the newly inaugurated executives to remain loyal, disciplined, and committed, reminding them that “much is expected from those in Haske’s hometown.” He pledged unwavering loyalty to the APC and reaffirmed women’s central role in the movement.

Representing His Excellency Abdulrahman Bashir Haske, Hon. Chief Charles W. Bansi Wambai Danaba delivered a rousing and statesmanlike address that drew standing ovations. He openly acknowledged Alhaji Zakiru Barade for his selfless leadership in building a formidable mobilisation structure across Adamawa State.
Bansi praised Alhaji Sadiq Mohammed Walin Ganye for his elder statesmanship and declared unequivocally that “this time belongs to the youths, and Haske is the answer.” He described Haske as a leader who inherited politics, business acumen, and humanitarian service, stressing that he is a major employer of labour and a bridge across ethnic divides.
Condemning ethnic politics in strong terms, Bansi declared that “the era of ethnic discrimination is over.”
A POLITICAL STATEMENT FROM GANYE
As appointment letters were presented to the new executives and appreciation messages rolled in, one fact became unmistakably clear: Ganye has spoken. The massive turnout, unified voices, and strategic mobilisation have positioned Abdulrahman Bashir Haske as a formidable political force, with Bansi Wambai Danaba, Zakiru Barade, and Hajiya Hajara Iya Luggere emerging as key pillars driving the movement.
Indeed, the day was not just an inauguration—it was a declaration.
