NAF UNLEASHES FIERCE AIR ONSLAUGHT IN KATSINAScores of Terrorists Killed as Fighter Jets Flatten Notorious Camps

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has delivered one of its most devastating blows yet against terrorist networks in Katsina State, unleashing a series of precision airstrikes that obliterated multiple fortified enclaves and left scores of fighters dead.

According to NAF spokesperson, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the coordinated operations—executed under Operation Fansan Yamma (OPFY) and Operation Hadin Kai—were driven by “credible, real-time intelligence” that identified the hideouts of notorious terror commanders operating in Kankara, Faskari, and Malumfashi Local Government Areas.

Ejodame revealed that the first strike, carried out at 6:30 a.m. on November 27, targeted the stronghold of a wanted kingpin long responsible for mass abductions, cattle rustling, and violent raids across the North-West.
Fighter jets deployed precision-guided munitions that flattened the camp instantly, while surveillance aircraft tracked fleeing terrorists, enabling follow-up strikes that neutralised several attempting to escape or regroup.

By 5:55 p.m., a second wave of airstrikes pounded another major enclave in Danfako, Faskari LGA, destroying critical logistics hubs, weapons storage sites, and makeshift operational shelters used to coordinate attacks on rural communities.

“Several terrorists were neutralised and their operational networks severely degraded,” Ejodame stated, adding that the sustained air pressure has denied criminal elements the freedom they once enjoyed to terrorise residents.

Security watchers say the operation marks one of the most decisive and far-reaching air offensives in recent months, signaling the military’s renewed determination to dismantle terror cells and restore peace across the troubled North-West.

With ground troops poised to exploit the gains, confidence is rising that coordinated military pressure could finally weaken the hold of armed groups that have long tormented communities in Katsina and neighbouring states.
