Daily Post has taken to its online handle and announced thatBuba Galadima, a prominent member of the Board of Trustees of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), has delivered a scathing critique of the Federal Government’s handling of national security, warning that Nigeria is fast descending into a state where terrorists boast superior intelligence capabilities than the nation’s own security agencies.
The outspoken politician, speaking during a televised interview on Monday, described the relentless wave of kidnappings, bandit attacks, and mass abductions across the North as a direct consequence of government negligence and a dangerous obsession with politics over governance.
Galadima said current realities show that leaders have drifted away from their constitutional responsibility to protect lives and property, while communities continue to suffer unimaginable horrors.
According to him, the recent abductions in Niger State—among several other violent incidents—are clear evidence that Nigeria’s security architecture is not only overstretched but collapsing under the weight of rising crime.
He lamented that officials entrusted with safeguarding citizens appear more invested in political power struggles, internal party wars, and personal ambitions than in combating the insecurity ravaging the nation.
Galadima warned that the widening gulf between government officials and the lived experiences of ordinary Nigerians has emboldened criminal groups, allowing them to expand their operations unchecked.
He described the situation in many northern communities as one of perpetual fear—villages deserted at night, farmers unable to go to their fields, schoolchildren kept home for safety, and roads transformed into kidnapping zones.
The NNPP chieftain said the failure of authorities to gather intelligence, prevent attacks, or swiftly respond to crises has left millions of citizens feeling abandoned and hopeless.
TERRIFYING REVELATION: INSURGENTS HAVE FULL SURVEILLANCE OF SAMBISA
In one of the most shocking disclosures of the interview, Galadima recounted watching a video of an ISWAP commander—believed to be responsible for the killing of Brigadier General Dzarma Zirkusu Musa—boasting about the group’s advanced surveillance capabilities.
According to Galadima, the commander claimed they possessed detailed visual layouts of the entire Sambisa Forest, monitoring every movement within the insurgent stronghold.
> “An ISWAP commander who killed Brigadier General Musa told a journalist he had the picture of the whole of Sambisa — if an ant is entering Sambisa, they can see it.”
— Buba Galadima
He said this chilling statement raises serious questions about how insurgents are able to maintain such sophisticated monitoring systems without strong countermeasures from the government.
CALL FOR URGENT, DECISIVE ACTION
Galadima stressed that Nigeria cannot continue to trivialise the security crisis, noting that it affects nearly all sectors—education, agriculture, transportation, and local commerce.
He urged the Federal Government to immediately refocus on its most sacred constitutional duty: protecting the lives and property of citizens.
He insisted that only bold, visible, and effective actions can restore public confidence and halt the country’s slide into deeper insecurity.
Galadima concluded with a stern warning that without a renewed national commitment to defeating terrorism and banditry, Nigerians may continue to endure avoidable tragedies under leaders who prioritise politics over the safety of the nation.
