TINUBU HAILS SECURITY FORCES AS ABDUCTED KWARA WORSHIPPERS, NIGER CATHOLIC SCHOOL CHILDREN REGAIN FREEDOM

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed profound relief and gratitude to Nigeria’s security agencies following the successful rescue of dozens of abducted citizens in Kwara and Niger States — a breakthrough he described as proof of his administration’s unwavering resolve to crush insecurity nationwide.

In a statement released on Sunday, President Tinubu said he personally supervised security operations after cancelling his scheduled trip to the G20 Summit in South Africa to focus on the escalating wave of abductions.

According to him, all 38 worshippers kidnapped in Eruku, Kwara State, have now been brought to safety, following intense rescue operations coordinated by the military and other security forces.

The President also confirmed that 51 out of the abducted students of a Catholic School in Niger State have been rescued, while efforts continue to ensure the safe return of the remaining missing children.

Tinubu stated:

> “You will recall that I cancelled my trip to the G20 Summit in South Africa to enable me coordinate security efforts at home. Thanks to the tireless work of our security forces over the last few days, all 38 worshippers abducted in Eruku, Kwara State, have been rescued.”

> “I am equally happy that 51 of the missing students of the Catholic School in Niger State have been recovered. I am closely monitoring the security situation nationwide and receiving continuous updates from the frontline.”

Reaffirming his commitment to national security, the President added:

> “Let me be clear: I will not relent. Every Nigerian, in every state, has the right to safety — and under my watch, we will secure this nation and protect our people.”

The successful rescue operations come amid heightened public concern over kidnappings across several states, placing renewed pressure on the federal government to deliver lasting solutions to insecurity.
