2027 POLITICAL SHOCKWAVE: ADC, NCP SEAL POWERFUL ALLIANCE TO Dethrone APC

In a bold political maneuver ahead of the 2027 general elections, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and the National Conscience Party (NCP) have announced a formidable electoral alliance aimed at unseating the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and, according to them, “ending Nigeria’s worsening national decline.”

The announcement was made on Monday during a high-stakes press briefing in Lagos, where NCP Lagos State Chairman, Chief Fatai Ibu-Owo, ADC National Secretary and former Interior Minister, Rauf Aregbesola, and other senior party figures delivered a stark warning: Nigeria is sliding dangerously into deeper crisis under the APC-led administration of President Bola Tinubu.

The coalition leaders painted a grim picture of the nation’s current state, citing crippling economic hardship, soaring inflation, and rising poverty that have left millions of citizens struggling to survive. They argued that the removal of fuel subsidies has triggered unprecedented fuel prices, pushing transportation, food, and essential commodities beyond the reach of ordinary Nigerians.

Describing the situation as “the bleeding heart of a nation,” the ADC–NCP alliance said the country is in desperate need of urgent political and economic rescue.

They also decried a worsening security landscape, pointing to unchecked kidnappings, rural banditry, and gross violations of civil liberties. According to them, the government’s inability to protect lives and property has resulted in “an avoidable loss of thousands of innocent Nigerians.”

Beyond economic and security failures, the coalition accused the APC of weakening democratic institutions, silencing critical voices, and shrinking civic space—a trend they said threatens the very soul of the nation’s democracy.

Calling for mass citizen mobilization, the alliance urged Nigerians to organize at the grassroots, support independent media, and prepare for a nationwide movement for democratic renewal.

In a fiery closing remark that echoed through the packed briefing room, coalition leaders declared that momentum for political liberation was already underway:

“Nigerians must prepare for a democratic handover in 2027. President Tinubu and his allies should take note—your time is coming.”

With this alliance, the 2027 elections may be gearing up to become one of the most fiercely contested in Nigeria’s political history.
