> “This honour is well-deserved. It reflects your track record of loyalty, humility, and service to humanity. I urge you to use this new role to strengthen the bond of unity and foster prosperity within the Emirate,” the Ubandoma said.

Also speaking, the Executive Chairman of Girei Local Government Council, who also holds the title of Jarma Girei, Hon. Adamu Dallatu, thanked the Ubandoma for the appointment, describing it as a source of pride not only to the Bala family but to the entire people of Girei.

> “The title of Dan Jarma bestowed on Alhaji Shu’aibu Bala is an honour well-earned. He is a man of proven character and commitment to community service. This recognition is a victory for all sons and daughters of Girei,” Dallatu said.

The council boss also commended Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his administration’s developmental strides across Adamawa State, saying such efforts continue to empower grassroots leadership and strengthen traditional institutions.

Speaking on behalf of the family, Alhaji Usman Girei thanked the District Head for his fatherly leadership and prayed for continued peace, progress, and divine guidance for the traditional and political leaders in the area.

In his remarks, the new Dan Jarma Girei, Alhaji Shu’aibu Bala, expressed appreciation to the Ubandoma Adamawa and the Lamido of Adamawa, His Royal Highness Dr. Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Mustafa, for approving his appointment.

> “This is a call to greater service. I am deeply honoured and will continue to work for the peace, unity, and development of our people,” Bala said.

Before his turbaning, Alhaji Bala served in several leadership positions within the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), including as a member of the party’s executive committee in Girei II Ward, where he was known for his dedication and grassroots mobilization.
