OUTRAGE AS ADAMAWA POLICE CHIEF ARRESTS FOUR OFFICERS OVER VIRAL BRUTALITY VIDEO

CP Dankombo Morris Condemns Act, Orders Urgent Probe into “Unprofessional Conduct” in Fufore

The Adamawa State Police Command has moved swiftly to restore public confidence by arresting four police officers accused of gross misconduct and excessive use of force while attempting to apprehend a suspect — an incident that has sparked outrage after going viral on social media.

The incident occurred on October 14, 2025, at Sabon Gari Quarters, Fufore Local Government Area, where the officers allegedly used firearms and physical force in a manner described by witnesses as “reckless and unnecessary.”

In a decisive move, the Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, psc(+), condemned the act, describing it as “a shameful deviation from the ethics and discipline expected of officers of the Nigeria Police Force.”

> “Such conduct is unprofessional and unacceptable. The Command will ensure that justice is served, and appropriate disciplinary action is taken. No officer is above the law,”
CP Morris stated firmly.

The Police Commissioner has directed the Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of the IGP’s X-Squad to conduct a thorough and transparent investigation into the case, promising that findings will be made public.

He also appealed to residents of Adamawa State to remain calm and trust the process, assuring that the officers involved will face the consequences of their actions if found guilty.

The Adamawa Police Command reaffirmed its commitment to upholding human rights, enforcing discipline among its ranks, and rebuilding public trust through accountability and reform.
