FAKE NEWS ALERT: Opposition’s Propaganda on Ganye Road Construction Exposed

– Pioneer Newspaper Investigation Unmasks Lies Behind Viral Facebook Post

In yet another display of political mischief and desperation, a self-acclaimed social media commentator and known opposition stalwart has been caught spreading falsehood about the ongoing road construction project from LCCN Junction to Yebbi, linking Mbulo to Jada in Ganye Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

The Facebook user, whose post went viral on Wednesday, October 16, 2025, had shared a misleading photo of a bulldozer being transported on a truck from the contractor’s yard. In his caption, written in Hausa, he claimed:

> “Jama’a APC sun fara dauke motocin su na yaudara a yau da safe 16/10/2025.”
(“People, APC has started taking away their deceitful vehicles this morning, 16/10/2025.”)

The post, dripping with political malice, quickly garnered attention from unsuspecting followers and a section of the opposition who mistook the fabrication for fact.

However, a fact-finding mission by the Pioneer Newspaper Team revealed that the viral claim was nothing short of deliberate misinformation and sheer hatred targeted at discrediting the developmental strides influenced by the All Progressives Congress (APC) administration under the leadership of Walin Ganye.

Our reporters, who visited both the construction yard and the project site, confirmed that the said bulldozer was merely being relocated from the machinery yard to the active construction area — a standard practice in road construction projects. Workers on site confirmed that the movement was part of the ongoing mobilization effort to speed up the Ganye–Yebbi–Mbulo–Jada road network.

> “The bulldozer was taken to a section of the road where grading and expansion work are ongoing. There was no withdrawal of equipment whatsoever,” one of the site supervisors told Pioneer.

This project, which is already transforming the face of Ganye and its environs, stands as one of the flagship infrastructural developments championed through the influence and commitment of Walin Ganye, a notable son of the soil whose dedication to grassroots progress has remained unwavering.

Observers have, however, expressed disappointment at how some political actors — particularly from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) — continue to twist facts and fabricate lies rather than acknowledge visible progress taking place in their communities.

A political analyst who spoke to Pioneer described the act as “a classic example of opposition desperation in the face of evident development.”

> “When leadership begins to deliver, detractors resort to propaganda. It’s unfortunate that instead of celebrating tangible progress, some individuals choose to peddle deceit,” he stated.

Indeed, Ganye residents have continued to praise the APC-led government for its ongoing investment in road infrastructure, which is opening up communities, boosting local commerce, and improving connectivity to Jada and other key areas.

In conclusion, the Pioneer Newspaper reaffirms that the viral Facebook claim is baseless, malicious, and politically motivated, aimed at undermining public trust in a project that has already begun to change lives.

Citizens are therefore urged to verify before sharing, and to stand firm against fake news merchants whose only agenda is to drag progress backward for political gain.

As work intensifies on the Ganye–Yebbi–Mbulo–Jada road, the truth remains unshaken — development is happening, and no amount of propaganda can bulldoze it away.
