“Tinubu’s Government Has Institutionalised Forgery” — Atiku Explodes, Says Presidency Steeped in Lies, Deceit and Moral Decay

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has launched a scathing attack on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, accusing his administration of being “rooted in forgery, deceit, and moral bankruptcy.”

In a fiery statement released on Wednesday, Atiku said the resignation of the Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology, Uche Nnaji, had further exposed what he described as a “deep moral rot” at the heart of the Tinubu government.

According to the former Vice President, Nnaji’s resignation was a “desperate attempt to whitewash a national disgrace,” insisting that the former minister should have been dismissed and prosecuted for falsification, not “quietly ushered out through the back door.”

> “What should ordinarily be a matter of national shame is now being disguised as a ‘voluntary resignation.’ It is a crude attempt to whitewash yet another scandal that typifies the forgery-ridden character of this government,” Atiku declared.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain also took a swipe at the Department of State Services (DSS), accusing it of dereliction of duty for clearing Nnaji during the ministerial screening despite what he called “glaring deceit.”

> “The DSS deserves our flowers for this national embarrassment,” he said sarcastically. “The same agency that disqualified Nasir El-Rufai over alleged ‘security concerns’ cleared a man with falsified records. This failure of due diligence has turned Nigeria into a global laughingstock.”

Atiku further accused President Tinubu of setting the tone for deception in public service, saying the President’s personal history has “institutionalised forgery as a culture of governance.”

> “The man who occupies the office of President has, for decades, been enmeshed in controversies over his identity, age, and academic records,” he continued. “From the Chicago State University saga to multiple contradictory claims under oath, the world has seen ample evidence that Nigeria is led by a man who cannot credibly defend the authenticity of his own certificates.”

The former Vice President stated that the “culture of dishonesty and falsification” within government flows directly from the top, describing Tinubu’s leadership as one built on “a foundation of deceit and questionable identity.”

> “When a man of questionable identity leads a country, deception becomes the standard of governance,” he said pointedly.

Atiku called for a thorough, independent, and transparent investigation into the academic and professional records of all members of the Federal Executive Council — starting with the President himself.

> “Nigerians deserve to know the truth about those who preside over their lives and resources,” he concluded.
