The Red Oil Dealers Association of Adamawa State has commended Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his visionary leadership and commitment to delivering the dividends of democracy as Nigeria marks its 65th Independence Anniversary.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with The Scope correspondent in his office at the newly constructed market behind PZ, close to Maidoki Roundabout in Jimeta-Yola, the association’s chairman, Alhaji Sulleiman Abba, praised the governor for his tireless efforts in uplifting traders and proffering lasting solutions to challenges in the market space.
> “We are grateful to His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, for his continuous support to the trading community. He has proven to be a governor who listens to the cries of the people and takes decisive action,” Alhaji Abba said.
He called on the people of Adamawa to rally behind the governor and support his administration in order to sustain peace, economic growth, and social development.
In a similar remark, a trader at the market, Mallam Adamu Umar, thanked Almighty Allah for blessing Adamawa with a leader like Fintiri. He offered prayers for the governor’s health and wisdom as he pilots the affairs of the state, urging fellow traders to uphold integrity in their businesses.
Mallam Umar also raised concerns over occasional criminal activities in markets, lamenting that break-ins and thefts often cripple small businesses. He appealed for strengthened security to safeguard traders’ investments.
The association chairman further reminded members to strictly adhere to government regulations to maintain peace, order, and smooth operations.
> “The government has given us the enabling environment. It is now our duty to comply with rules and ensure that we operate in peace, unity, and transparency,” he concluded.
The Red Oil Dealers’ endorsement comes as a significant boost to Governor Fintiri’s administration, which continues to receive commendations across various sectors for its strides in infrastructure, security, and economic development.
