Adamawa Press Limited (APL) has entered a bold new chapter in its history as the company’s editorial staff received electronic hand tablets in a move designed to modernize operations and align with global best practices in journalism.
The devices were officially presented by the General Manager, Alhaji Zubairu Iya Abubakar, who emphasized that the innovation was part of his administration’s sweeping reform agenda—one that dovetails with Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s digital vision for Adamawa State.
> “With these tablets, we are not only upgrading our newsroom but also proving that Adamawa Press Limited can stand shoulder to shoulder with any media house in the world. This change reflects His Excellency Governor Fintiri’s broader commitment to modernization across the state,” Abubakar declared.

Staff expressed excitement and optimism over the new development. Mr. Elisha Gabriel, Staff Officer, described the shift as a “total revolution” that will streamline workflow and eliminate outdated practices.
Similarly, Editor-in-Chief, Dacoron Yusuf, challenged the editorial team to make the most of the digital tools:
> “This is an opportunity to prove our professionalism. We must be proactive, accurate, and committed in discharging our duties,” she urged.
Representing the Commercial Manager, Mr. Laban praised the GM’s leadership, describing Abubakar as an exemplary manager who has brought new energy and vision into the company.
The General Manager also took time to commend Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s administration for its unwavering support and encouragement, noting that the governor’s investment in institutional reforms is creating an enabling environment for organizations like APL to thrive.
As APL transitions into the digital era, it not only strengthens its internal operations but also positions itself as a key driver in shaping the future of journalism in Adamawa State and beyond.
