The Adamawa State Police Command has recorded yet another breakthrough in its fight against crime, arresting two suspected burglars linked to a daring store-breaking incident in Michika Local Government Area.
According to the Command, the suspects were apprehended following credible intelligence that on September 5, 2025, a phone accessories shop in Kilimi Village, Michika LGA, was burgled, with valuable items carted away under the cover of night.
Acting swiftly, police operatives attached to Gombi Divisional Headquarters stormed the area and arrested the suspects in possession of stolen items including handsets, an MP3 player, a DP light, a rechargeable table fan, and other valuables.
The suspects were identified as:
1. Hassan Adamu, 25 years old
2. Daniel Ishaya, 30 years old
— both residents of Michika Town.
During interrogation, the duo reportedly confessed to committing the crime and are expected to face prosecution in court upon completion of investigations.
Commending the officers for their swift and professional action, the Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, psc(+), assured the public of the Command’s renewed determination to keep Adamawa safe.
> “The Command remains resolute in ridding the state of criminal elements and ensuring the safety of lives and property,” CP Morris stated.
In a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Nguroje, anipr, the Command urged residents to remain vigilant, report suspicious activities, and continue to support security agencies in the fight against crime.
