The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has intensified its grassroots campaign on safe road practices, as its Corps Public Education Office (CPEO) continued its sensitisation rally across major Nigerian cities.
In its latest outing at the bustling Obasanjo Junction, FRSC officials engaged motorists, pedestrians, and commercial drivers in an interactive session on the life-saving importance of road discipline. The outreach focused on speed limit compliance, consistent use of seatbelts, avoidance of distractions while driving, and the culture of defensive driving.
The rally attracted massive attention from commuters and residents, with officers distributing flyers, delivering one-on-one safety tips, and conducting live demonstrations to drive home the message. Many road users welcomed the initiative, describing it as timely in curbing the alarming rate of accidents on Nigerian highways.
According to the Corps, the sustained sensitisation drive is part of its renewed commitment to ensure that every Nigerian adopts safety as a personal and collective responsibility, thereby reducing preventable crashes and saving lives.
