Adamawa Police Recover Stolen Vehicle Linked to Armed Robbery, Call on Public to Claim Ownership

The Adamawa State Police Command has announced the recovery of a vehicle believed to have been stolen during an armed robbery incident, urging rightful owners to come forward with proof of ownership.

In a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, ANIPR, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, Psc(+), the Command revealed that the vehicle, a Honda with registration number ABC 597 HC, was recovered during a painstaking investigation into a robbery case that occurred in February 2024.

According to the Command, the recovered vehicle is currently in safe custody at the Karewa Divisional Police Headquarters in Yola North Local Government Area.

> “The Adamawa State Police Command wishes to inform members of the public that a Honda vehicle with registration number ABC 597 HC, recovered in connection with an armed robbery case under investigation, is presently secured at the Karewa Divisional Police Headquarters, Yola North LGA.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, Psc(+), hereby calls on any member of the public whose motor vehicle is either stolen or missing to come forward with the original proof of ownership to claim it,” the statement read.
The Police Command reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding lives and property across the state, assuring residents that every effort will be made to track down criminals and recover stolen valuables.

The Command also appealed to the public for continuous cooperation by promptly reporting suspicious activities and providing credible information to aid ongoing investigations.

Residents whose vehicles have been reported missing or stolen are strongly encouraged to approach the Karewa Divisional Police Headquarters with relevant documents for verification and claim.
