In yet another chilling reminder of the insecurity plaguing Zamfara State, armed bandits launched a brutal midnight attack on Ruwan Bore village in Talata Mafara Local Government Area, killing two residents and abducting two others.
According to local sources, the assault unfolded at about 1:30 a.m. on Monday when a heavily armed gang stormed the quiet farming community, unleashing a barrage of gunfire that shattered the night’s silence.
“Two persons were shot dead instantly, while two others were whisked away to an unknown destination,” one source recounted, describing the chaos and fear that gripped the village.
Upon receiving the distress report, troops of Operation FANSAN YANMA swiftly mobilised to the scene, initiating a search-and-rescue operation to track the assailants and secure the safe release of the abducted victims.
Security operatives have assured residents that relentless efforts are underway to hunt down the perpetrators and restore calm to the troubled area.
