Commissioner Adamu Atiku Inspects Transformative Projects in Yola, Reaffirms Fintiri’s Vision for a Modern Adamawa

Adamawa State Commissioner for Works, Alhaji Adamu Atiku Sardauna, has once again demonstrated his hands-on approach to governance with an extensive inspection tour of major infrastructural projects transforming the face of Yola, the state capital.

Taking to his official X (formerly Twitter) handle, the commissioner detailed the oversight visit, which covered a range of ongoing landmark projects crucial to the state’s urban renewal agenda.

“Earlier today, I carried out an oversight inspection of key ongoing infrastructural projects in Yola, reaffirming our commitment to sustainable development across the state,” he posted.

Among the projects visited were the Federal Housing Estate Road Network, the ambitious expansion of Galadima Aminu Way, and the iconic Underpass at the Fire Service Office in Jimeta — all of which are visibly progressing. The commissioner also inspected the groundbreaking 20.8-kilometre Adamawa Super Highway and the Half Clover Leaf Flyover, two signature projects designed to ease traffic flow and redefine the city’s landscape.

“These projects are not just structures; they represent the heartbeat of our development vision. I am genuinely impressed by the quality and pace of work being delivered,” the commissioner noted.

He expressed profound gratitude to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, crediting his bold leadership and unwavering commitment to infrastructural development for the ongoing transformation across the state.

“Governor Fintiri’s visionary leadership continues to power this transformation. His administration is setting new standards for urban development in Nigeria,” he added.

The commissioner also extended appreciation to the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Works, Engr. Sulaiman M. Digil, and the dedicated staff of the ministry for their consistent support and technical expertise in driving the projects forward.

As construction cranes rise and bulldozers roar across Yola, the people of Adamawa are beginning to witness the emergence of a modern capital — one brick, one road, and one flyover at a time.
