The Adamawa State Police Command has recovered an abandoned tricycle suspected to have been stolen and is calling on rightful owners to come forward.
In a statement released via the Command’s official X (formerly Twitter) handle, the police disclosed that the tricycle, commonly referred to as Keke Napep, was discovered abandoned on May 17, 2025, along Dougirei Quarters in Yola North Local Government Area.
According to the report, an unidentified individual left the vehicle at the location under suspicious circumstances. A vigilant Good Samaritan promptly alerted officers at the Dougirei Divisional Police Headquarters, leading to the swift recovery of the tricycle.
Acting on the directive of the Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, PSC (+), the Command has launched a full-scale investigation to uncover the circumstances surrounding the abandonment and possible theft.
The Adamawa State Police Command is urging any member of the public who may have recently lost a tricycle to visit the Dougirei Divisional Police Headquarters or contact the Command’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) with valid proof of ownership to reclaim the vehicle.
The Command emphasized its continued commitment to crime prevention and public safety, encouraging residents to remain vigilant and promptly report suspicious activities.
