PDP Governors Reportedly Set to Defect in Strategic Move Amid CIA/FBI File Scandal Allegations

A prominent user on X (formerly Twitter), known as DGov, has sparked controversy with a bold claim: several governors from Nigeria’s opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) are allegedly preparing to defect on Thursday in a coordinated attempt to deflect attention from an explosive CIA/FBI report allegedly linked to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

According to DGov, the planned defections are a calculated distraction engineered to drown out conversations around the president’s alleged criminal past, which has come under renewed scrutiny following claims of an intelligence dossier by the U.S. agencies.

The governors named in the post include:

1. Sheriff Oborevwori – Delta State

2. Agbu Kefas – Taraba State

3. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri – Adamawa State

4. Peter Mbah – Enugu State

5. Umo Eno – Akwa Ibom State

DGov insinuates that the sudden return of President Tinubu to the country is directly tied to this political maneuver, aimed at rallying internal media to shift focus away from his controversial history and onto the spectacle of mass defections.

“This isn’t about political loyalty anymore. It’s about manipulating the narrative,” DGov posted. “The real story is being buried beneath orchestrated political drama. Let’s not be fooled. Let’s not lose focus.”

The user further urged Nigerians to remain vigilant and not allow a wave of defections to derail the public’s attention from critical national issues. “Even if a thousand governors cross over, we must demand full accountability. The CIA/FBI file must be brought to the forefront. Our voices won’t be silenced by political theatre.”

As tensions rise and speculation swirls, Nigerians wait to see whether the alleged defections will materialize—and if so, what political implications they may carry. But one thing is clear: the battle for public perception is in full swing, and the stakes have never been higher.
