According to reports, the two yet-to-be-identified actors died in mysterious circumstances after consuming a meal of rice and a bottle of wine during a private hangout on Friday night. The gathering, hosted by a movie director, quickly spiraled into horror when four male actors suddenly took ill, with two later pronounced dead on arrival at the Federal University Teaching Hospital, Owerri.

Karisia, in a Facebook post, quoted one of the surviving actors as saying that they had all been offered rice and later a bottle of Calypso and wine by their host. While all present took a sip, the two deceased reportedly consumed most of the alcoholic beverage.

“The host brought out a bottle of Calypso and some wine. Everyone had a little taste, but the two who died finished the drink,” Karisia wrote.

The two surviving actors are said to be receiving treatment and are reportedly responding positively at the Federal Teaching Hospital.
