Kaduna Breakthrough: Police Rescue Three Abducted Victims, Including 53-Year-Old Mu’azu Dahiru, in Daring Night Operation

In a significant triumph for security forces in Kaduna State, renowned counterinsurgency expert and security analyst Zagazola Makama has announced via his official X handle the successful rescue of three abducted victims, including 53-year-old Alhaji Mu’azu Dahiru.

Dahiru, a respected community member, was kidnapped in the early hours of April 10, 2025—at approximately 2:30 a.m.—from the Mareri area of Kaduna State, sending shockwaves through the local community and intensifying pressure on security agencies.

Acting swiftly on intelligence and with precision planning, the Police Tactical Teams led by the gallant Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of the Damba Division launched a strategic operation. On April 12, at around 7:30 p.m., during a routine patrol, the team intercepted and successfully rescued the abducted individuals in an operation described by sources as both “tactical and courageous.”

According to intelligence briefed to Zagazola Makama, the victims were in stable condition upon rescue and were immediately transported to a nearby medical facility for evaluation and treatment. After receiving necessary care, they were discharged and debriefed by police operatives before being joyfully reunited with their families.

This rescue underscores the resilience and commitment of the Kaduna State Police Command in the ongoing fight against banditry and abductions, and serves as a reassuring signal to residents that security operatives remain steadfast in their mission to safeguard lives and property.

Authorities have reaffirmed their resolve to maintain momentum in combating criminal elements across the region, with ongoing intelligence-gathering and rapid-response efforts continuing in full force.
