The Parable of the She-Goat: A Tale of Betrayal, Power, and Poetic Justice

Mahdi Usman, in a thought-provoking post on his official X handle, shared an intriguing metaphor about the nature of power, betrayal, and karma.

According to him, by nature, attitude, and group behavior, a She-Goat is not known to bite fellow goats, let alone humans. However, as with all things in life, exceptions exist—especially when shaped by a harsh and unforgiving past.

He narrates the tale of an orphan who grew up in the depths of penury, enduring a childhood marred by lack and deprivation. His life took a miraculous turn when a kind-hearted Samaritan plucked him from the streets, offered him shelter, clothed and fed him, and gave him an education that transformed him into a respectable figure.

But as fate would have it, when the orphan came of age and ventured into politics, he underwent a drastic transformation. Once a symbol of humility, he morphed into a man of complex and unsavory character—rude, pompous, corrupt, stingy, arrogant, and insatiably greedy. His moral compass eroded, replaced by a ruthless drive for power and wealth. Over time, he developed what could only be described as Primitive Accumulation Syndrome (PAS)—seizing everything within his reach, appropriating what was never his, and amassing wealth through sheer force and deception.

However, in a dramatic twist of fate, his reign of impunity met a bizarre and poetic end. In full public view, a She-Goat—an unlikely harbinger of retribution—delivered a vicious, bloody bite that signaled his downfall.

Such is the irony of life: the most unexpected punishments often come from the least expected sources.
