In yet another brazen display of terror, armed bandits suspected to be loyalists of the notorious kingpin, Bello Kaura, launched a ferocious attack on Adabka, a community in Bukkuyum Local Government Area of Zamfara State. The assailants abducted an unspecified number of residents and left five youths critically injured in a ruthless ambush.
According to intelligence sources, the attack unfolded around 7 a.m. on Thursday, sending waves of panic through the besieged community. In a desperate bid to rescue their abducted neighbors, a group of courageous youths mobilized and pursued the bandits—only to walk into a deadly trap.
“The armed men, lying in wait, unleashed a hail of bullets on the youths, leaving five of them with severe injuries,” a security source disclosed to Zagazola Makama.
The injured victims were rushed to the General Hospital in Bukkuyum for urgent medical attention. Meanwhile, security forces have been deployed to the area to prevent further escalation and track down the perpetrators.
Residents of Adabka, who have endured relentless attacks from criminal gangs, are once again gripped by fear, calling on authorities to intensify efforts in restoring peace and security to the region.
As the cycle of violence continues, the latest attack raises fresh concerns over the growing audacity of bandits operating with impunity across Zamfara State. Will the government’s response be swift enough to reclaim the region from the grip of terror?
