In a decisive blow against terrorism, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), under Operation Fansa Yanma, has neutralized scores of bandits in a high-precision airstrike targeting the stronghold of notorious bandit kingpin Yusuf Yellow in Tsafe Local Government Area, Zamfara State.
A senior security source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, described the operation as highly successful, confirming that multiple terrorists were taken out in the raid.
> “The airstrikes were meticulously coordinated based on credible intelligence, leading to the elimination of a significant number of armed bandits. The mission was executed with pinpoint accuracy to degrade their operational capabilities,” the source revealed.
However, it remains uncertain whether Yusuf Yellow was among those killed in the aerial bombardment. Security operatives are actively conducting post-strike surveillance to determine the full extent of the damage inflicted on the criminal network.
This latest offensive is part of a renewed military onslaught aimed at dismantling bandit enclaves in Zamfara and restoring law and order. The Nigerian military, through Operation Fansa Yanma, has intensified its air and ground offensives, striking fear into the heart of terrorist factions that have long terrorized the region.
Residents of Tsafe and surrounding areas have hailed the operation, expressing hope that the intensified military actions will bring lasting peace to their communities.
With the military ramping up precision strikes and intelligence-led operations, the days of terror kingpins like Yusuf Yellow may be numbered.
