This decisive move underscores the Nigerian Police Force’s commitment to tackling insecurity and bringing perpetrators of such heinous crimes to justice.

In a statement on Wednesday, the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, assured Nigerians that the police were leaving no stone unturned in securing Ojajuni’s release, emphasizing that all available intelligence and operational assets were being deployed.

> “The IGP commends the bravery and swift action of these gallant officers who have demonstrated their commitment to ensuring the safety and security of citizens. In the same vein, the IGP has ordered the immediate deployment of the Force Intelligence Response Team (IRT) to prioritise the safe rescue of Prince Eniola Ojajuni, the Afenifere Youth Leader, who was kidnapped on February 17, 2025, while en route to Abuja.

The NPF is fully committed to the safe return of Prince Ojajuni and is deploying all necessary resources and expertise to achieve this objective,” Adejobi stated.

As the police intensify efforts to track the kidnappers, Adejobi urged Nigerians to refrain from spreading unverified information on social media, warning that reckless speculation could jeopardize rescue operations and put the victim at greater risk.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian Police Force has continued its relentless crackdown on crime across the country. In Taraba State, operatives raided a suspected criminal hideout at Wamunchi dry-season rice farms on February 26, 2025, arresting 20 suspects and recovering an AK-47 rifle, seven rounds of live ammunition, a motorcycle, three Dane guns, and a bow and arrow.

Similarly, in Oyo State, tactical teams and local security outfits launched a swift rescue operation on February 24, 2025, securing the release of three kidnap victims abducted from the palace of Baale Tajudeen Inaolaji. The operation also led to the arrest of one of the suspected kidnappers.
