In a bold step towards reinforcing national security and fostering economic stability, the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) is set to host the 5th Annual Conference and Retreat for Senior Police Officers in Abeokuta, Ogun State. Scheduled for February 24th to 27th, 2025, the event, themed “Improving Nigeria’s Internal Security and Economic Prosperity Through Inclusive Policing”, aims to refine policing strategies, strengthen leadership capacities, and enhance professional development within the Force.
The high-profile gathering will bring together over 170 Senior Police Officers for intensive workshops, strategic discussions, and team-building exercises. This annual retreat serves as a pivotal forum for evaluating security challenges, sharing innovative policing techniques, and formulating actionable strategies to safeguard Nigeria’s internal security while promoting national economic growth.
Adding to the prestige of the event, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, will grace the occasion as the Special Guest of Honour. The conference will also attract state governors, National Assembly members, ministers, Service Chiefs, top government officials, industry leaders, and security experts, further highlighting its critical importance to Nigeria’s governance and security framework.
