“Police Condemn Brutal Bullying of Student in Adamawa, Launch Investigation”

The Nigeria Police Force has strongly condemned the brutal bullying of a secondary school student in Adamawa State, emphasizing that such acts are criminal and inhumane.

Prince Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Force Public Relations Officer, took to his official X handle to declare that “bullying is wicked and criminal,” reinforcing the police’s zero-tolerance stance on such misconduct.

Following the disturbing incident, the Adamawa State Police Command has launched a full-scale investigation into the alleged torture of a student from Aliyu Mustafa Academy, Jimeta-Yola. According to reports, the victim was subjected to severe physical abuse by a teacher whose identity has been withheld.

Authorities stress that brutality in any form cannot be equated with discipline or corrective measures in schools. “There is a clear distinction between moderate correction and outright brutality,” a senior police official stated.

As the investigation unfolds, the police have assured the public of a thorough probe, warning that anyone found culpable will face the full wrath of the law. The incident has sparked outrage among parents and child rights advocates, calling for stricter measures to curb violence in schools.

The Nigeria Police Force urges schools, parents, and communities to work together in ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment for students, free from fear and intimidation.
