In a dramatic turn of events, a passenger aboard an Air Peace flight from Lagos to Port Harcourt was arrested for theft mid-air and subsequently blacklisted by the airline. The suspect was apprehended after a thorough search upon arrival at Port Harcourt International Airport, confirming their involvement in the crime.
In a statement on Thursday, Air Peace’s Head of Corporate Communications, Ejike Ndiulo, disclosed that the incident occurred on Flight P47190 on February 19, 2025. He reaffirmed the airline’s firm commitment to passenger safety and security, emphasizing that immediate action was taken to address the situation.
“We confirm an incident of in-flight theft onboard Flight P47190. The airline reiterates its unwavering commitment to passenger safety and security and has taken decisive action in response to the situation,” the statement read.
