The unsettling news follows the harrowing ordeal of a nine-month pregnant woman, Dorathy Opus, who mysteriously vanished on Friday, February 7, 2025. Days of frantic searching came to a dramatic end when she was found on February 12 at around 7 PM, abandoned near The Young Roundabout in Port Harcourt.
However, the circumstances surrounding her reappearance have sent shockwaves through the public. According to reports, Opus was not just abducted—she was forcibly taken into labour, delivered of her baby against her will, and then discarded while her newborn was cruelly snatched away by her captors.
The heart-wrenching incident raises grave concerns about the rising cases of baby trafficking and ritual-related crimes in the country.
