In a resounding endorsement of gender inclusivity in leadership, Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has lauded the Department of State Services (DSS) for its conscious efforts in promoting women to key leadership positions. She reiterated her unwavering commitment to empowering women and ensuring their active participation in governance.
Speaking at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Wednesday during a courtesy visit by a DSS delegation led by Deputy Director-General Mrs. Afolashade Adekayaoja, the First Lady underscored President Bola Tinubu’s dedication to fostering gender equality in leadership roles.
Commending the DSS for recognizing the invaluable contributions of women, Senator Tinubu emphasized the need for greater representation of women at decision-making levels. She asserted that the presence of women in leadership is not just symbolic but essential for national progress.

Her Media Assistant, Busola Kukoyi, in a statement, quoted the First Lady as expressing confidence in women’s ability to support one another, collaborate effectively, and execute their responsibilities with diligence for the nation’s advancement.
