Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to revolutionizing the state’s power sector through a landmark 300-megawatt (MW) solar power project.
Taking to his official X handle, the governor announced a high-level meeting with representatives from Liberal Energy of Australia, led by Engr. Silas Zakkah, alongside officials from the Yola Electricity Distribution Company (YEDC). The discussions centered on the ambitious solar initiative, which aims to significantly enhance electricity supply across the state.
“This initiative will not only bolster power supply but also drive economic growth by supporting homes, businesses, and industries,” Fintiri stated.
With Adamawa’s increasing demand for stable and affordable energy, the 300MW solar power project is poised to be a game-changer, fostering industrialization, job creation, and improved living standards. If successfully implemented, the project could position the state as a model for sustainable energy development in Nigeria.
Governor Fintiri’s proactive approach to infrastructure development continues to attract global partnerships, signaling a brighter and more electrified future for Adamawa State.
