In a chilling display of lawlessness, gunmen have abducted three students of the Federal College of Agriculture, Akure, while they were working on a farm near the Akure Airport in Ondo State. The incident, which has sent shockwaves through the academic community, occurred at a farm settlement in Oke Oge, Oba-Ile, Akure North Local Government Area, plunging families and fellow students into anguish.
According to reports, the victims—who were undergoing their Industrial Training (IT) at the farm—were kidnapped on Saturday evening while returning home. Witnesses say the gunmen, who appeared well-coordinated, ambushed the students and forcefully took them away to an unknown destination.
The Ondo State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, Funmilayo Odunlami, confirmed the abduction, revealing that anti-kidnapping operatives had been swiftly deployed to track down the assailants. Similarly, the Commander of the Ondo State Security Network, Amotekun Corps, Adetunji Adeleye, assured the public that security operatives were combing the entire area to locate the victims and bring the perpetrators to justice.
