Renowned security analyst and counterinsurgency expert Zagazola Makama has reported a deadly attack by Boko Haram insurgents on Sanda Wajiri, a remote village near Kolkata in northern Cameroon.
According to intelligence sources, the brutal assault took place late Sunday night when heavily armed militants stormed the village, unleashing sporadic gunfire and spreading chaos. The attackers killed four residents and set multiple homes, food stores, and essential supplies ablaze, leaving survivors in dire straits.

Despite being outgunned, the villagers displayed remarkable resilience, fiercely resisting the insurgents. In a bold act of defiance, they managed to neutralize one of the attackers before the rest of the group retreated into the night.
The latest attack underscores the persistent threat of Boko Haram in the Lake Chad Basin, where communities remain vulnerable to the group’s ruthless onslaughts. Security analysts continue to call for heightened vigilance and coordinated military action to curb the insurgents’ activities in the region.
