In a decisive blow against banditry, troops of Operation Fansan Yanma launched a daring night raid in Nasarawa village, Anka Local Government Area of Zamfara State, eliminating four notorious criminals and capturing one alive.
According to intelligence sources, the meticulously planned operation unfolded between the late hours of February 10 and the early morning of February 11. Acting on credible intelligence, the troops stormed a well-known bandit hideout, engaging the criminals in a fierce gun battle. Among those neutralized was a notorious figure long suspected of orchestrating violent attacks in the area.
The operation, characterized by tactical precision and overwhelming firepower, left the remaining criminals in disarray. One suspect was successfully apprehended and is currently in custody for further interrogation.
This latest success underscores the relentless determination of the Nigerian Military to dismantle bandit networks and restore peace to communities ravaged by insecurity. Security forces have vowed to sustain the momentum, ensuring that Zamfara and other affected states remain hostile terrain for criminal elements.
