The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has officially announced an extension of the registration deadline for the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage. The announcement, made via the commission’s official X handle, was confirmed by NAHCON Chairman, Prof. Abdullahi Saleh Usman, who stated that the new deadline is now February 10, 2025.
This extension is aimed at providing prospective pilgrims with ample time to complete their registration and financial commitments, ensuring a seamless and well-organized pilgrimage process.
Prof. Usman emphasized the importance of early registration, urging intending pilgrims to take advantage of the additional time to avoid last-minute rushes, which often lead to complications. He reiterated NAHCON’s commitment to facilitating a smooth and spiritually fulfilling Hajj experience for Nigerian pilgrims, adding that all necessary measures are being put in place to ensure their welfare, security, and convenience.
The commission also assured stakeholders, including state pilgrims’ welfare boards and tour operators, of its readiness to coordinate effectively with relevant authorities in Saudi Arabia to guarantee a successful 2025 Hajj.
With this development, intending pilgrims are encouraged to complete their registration before the new deadline to secure their slots and avoid unforeseen challenges.
