Adamawa State Police Begin Strict Enforcement of Third-Party Motor Insurance Policy

In a decisive move to ensure road safety and compliance with insurance regulations, the Adamawa State Police Command has announced the enforcement of the Compulsory Third-Party Motor Vehicle Insurance Policy across the state. The announcement was made via the Command’s official X (formerly Twitter) handle, signaling the commencement of a large-scale compliance operation.

On February 1, 2025, the Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, Psc (+), personally led the enforcement committee tasked with monitoring motorists’ adherence to the mandatory insurance policy. The operation, which is being carried out in collaboration with the Mobile Court, aims to crack down on defaulters, ensure compliance, and uphold road safety standards.

The enforcement exercise is being conducted professionally and in an orderly manner, with law enforcement officers working in tandem with relevant agencies to ensure smooth proceedings.

The Adamawa State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to enforcing the law while maintaining fairness and professionalism in its execution.

Motorists are urged to ensure their vehicles are properly insured to avoid legal repercussions, as the police have vowed to sustain the operation in the coming weeks.
