Governor Fintiri Seeks Stronger UNDP Collaboration to Drive Sustainable Development in Adamawa

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has reaffirmed his commitment to fostering global partnerships that will accelerate sustainable development in the state. Taking to his official X handle, the governor announced that he recently held a “productive meeting” with officials of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Maiduguri, where he advocated for a stronger collaboration between the agency and his administration.

During the discussion, Governor Fintiri emphasized the need for a UNDP presence in Yola, the Adamawa State capital, to enhance the impact and accessibility of development projects across the region. He underscored his administration’s dedication to ensuring that international partnerships translate into tangible benefits for the people of Adamawa.

“A @UNDPNigeria presence in Yola will enhance project impact and accessibility. Committed to global partnerships for progress!” Fintiri stated in his post, signaling his determination to harness international support for the state’s development agenda.

The meeting aligns with the governor’s broader vision to position Adamawa as a hub for socio-economic transformation, leveraging global expertise and resources to drive progress in critical sectors such as education, healthcare, infrastructure, and job creation.

Fintiri’s push for a closer collaboration with UNDP is expected to open doors for new initiatives aimed at poverty alleviation, climate resilience, and human capital development, reinforcing Adamawa’s status as a forward-thinking and development-focused state.

With this bold move, Governor Fintiri is once again demonstrating his proactive leadership in attracting global investment and fostering partnerships that will uplift the lives of Adamawa’s citizens.
