Unity in Action: Yola Leader Urges Prayers, Support for Effective Leadership in Adamawa

A respected Yola-based community leader, Alhaji Sani Gidado, has called on the people of Adamawa State to prioritize prayers and extend unwavering support to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri to enable him to continue driving the state’s developmental agenda.

Speaking exclusively to our correspondent in Yola, Gidado emphasized the importance of unity and constructive engagement, urging citizens to refrain from baseless criticisms and divisive rhetoric. He described the trend of making unguided statements against leaders as “unfortunate” and detrimental to the progress of the state and the nation at large.

Highlighting the broader political landscape, Gidado lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s inclusive leadership approach, particularly citing the historic appointment of Nyesom Wike, a member of the opposition PDP, as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). According to him, this bold move demonstrates Tinubu’s commitment to sustainable development and a shift away from partisan politics. He drew parallels with the late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua’s administration, which, through similar inclusivity, achieved remarkable milestones in record time.

“The era of sectional politics should be left behind,” Gidado remarked. “We must unite and support the incumbent government to deliver on its promises, rather than sowing seeds of division.”

The community leader also called on Governor Fintiri to extend recognition to those who steadfastly supported him during the 2019 and 2023 gubernatorial elections. He underscored the value of loyalty and encouraged the governor to carry these individuals along in his developmental journey.

Concluding, Alhaji Gidado offered heartfelt prayers for peace, unity, and tranquility to prevail across Nigeria. “Lasting peace is the foundation upon which sustainable development is built. We must work and pray together for the good of our nation,” he stated.
