The arrest, which occurred on January 19, 2025, followed a distress call from a concerned citizen reporting a robbery involving Shilla Boys operating with a tricycle along Yola Road. According to the report, the suspects attacked one Uba Ibrahim at the Jippu Jam Toll Gate, forcefully dispossessing him of his iPhone XR.
Acting promptly on the report, operatives from Karewa Divisional Police Headquarters launched a swift response and intercepted the suspects at Malamre Junction, leading to their arrest and recovery of stolen items.
