Adamawa Police Strike Hard on Drug Trafficking: Three Arrested, Illegal Substances Seized

In a decisive move against drug trafficking, the Adamawa State Police Command has made significant strides in its fight against illicit substances, showcasing its unrelenting commitment to ensuring a safer community.



According to an official press release shared on the Command’s X (formerly Twitter) handle, a meticulously planned operation was carried out on December 18, 2024, based on credible intelligence. Officers stormed a notorious criminal hideout in Malabu, Fufore Local Government Area, leading to the arrest of three individuals and the recovery of a substantial cache of illegal substances, including Indian hemp and other hard drugs.

The Arrested Suspects:

1. Shafiu Musa


2. Idris Mohammed


3. Bashiru Nasiru

All suspects, residents of Malabu District, have reportedly confessed to being active participants in the global black market and the illegal drug trade. Their arrests mark a major breakthrough in the Command’s efforts to dismantle drug trafficking networks within the state.
