Forum Shops For Fintiri’s Successor From Numan Federation.

From Stanley Mijah, Yola.

The Mission Driven Minds, a forum working within the territories of Numan Federation to promote and sustain good governance rose from its one-day conference with a resolution to provide necessary support base to one of the  sons of the federation aspiring to be the next governor of Adamawa in 2027.
In a five-point communique issued and signed by Hon Esther Plamuram, the Convener of the conference held at Demsa Guest-In, the forum stated that it will only support a candidate from the region who has demonstrated capacity, integrity and acceptability to represent the federation in governance of the state.
According to the forum, it is networking with relevant organizations within and outside the federation to shop for the best and popular candidate with mission driven intentions to provide responsible governance in the general interest of the state.
The forum observed that the people of the state needed a leader with proven integrity and demonstrated capacity to step into the shoes of Governor Umaru Fintiri to sustain the culture of development and good governance.
The Communique emphasized that a wrong choice of a successor of Fintiri will not only jeopardize the future of the state but will make nonsense the foundations laid for the economic prosperity and future development of Adamawa state.
The forum called on the entire people of the state to support the final choice of the federation this time as a return gesture to the age long participation and role of the region in producing and facilitating the emergence of state leadership from both the central and northern zones of the state.
The statement further called for the unity of the region and enhanced collaboration of interest groups within and outside the region to pave way for the emergence of the best governorship candidate from the region, an ambition and opportunity the region would not like to compromise and stressed the need for the unity and collaboration of the existing major ethnic groups that make up the Federation to produce an acceptable and popular candidate from the region.
The forum further commended the Fintiri administration for laying the foundation and culture of development in the state and for providing the necessary environment for peace and development of the state.
